D.C.S. was founded in Detroit in 2005. Following a successful 6 year run of feature films, music videos, documentaries, commercials, theatre productions, college classes, workshops and web spots... the D.C.S.-Detroit facilities were burned to the ground in Devil's Nite arson.
Seeking greener pastures, the core team members packed up and relocated to San Francisco, CA.....
After securing new facilities in the heart of
San Francisco's SOMA neighbourhood, our range of service offerings needed expanding- as it became clear where we excelled, and where we needed improvement. We are a full service VFX / Animation Facility, and Recording Studio. With an extreme emphasis on Bleeding Edge Hybrid Techniques, Stop-Motion Animation has become

WE'VE YET TO SECURE FUNDING FOR THEM YET... BUT PUSH AHEAD REGARDLESS, ALBEIT SLOWER THAN WE'D LIKE. WE'VE TRIED DOCUMENT THE WHOLE PROCESS FOR EACH PROJECT AND PROUDLY CREATED THESE "PRODUCTION DIARIES" SO OTHERS COULD FOLLOW ALONG WITH OUR PROGRESS. WE HOPE IT WILL PROVE TO BE A USEFUL RESOURCE FOR OTHER DIY HYBRID STOP-MOTION/CG ENTHUSIASTS.
